Nothing beats the simplicity of a tweed skirt paired with a cosy jumper. If I'm ever stuck for time and need an outfit that I know will look great every time it's the tweed mini skirt and jumper combo. Heels or boots ~ you decide!
I own an array of different Dubarry of Ireland tweed skirts, in the styles; Blossom, Bellflower, Clover (and another I don't know the name of!) and different tweed patterns.

Classic Country Styling with Holland Cooper
I've styled my Dubarry skirt with my Holland Cooper Seattle Roll Neck Cable Knit in Fern Green. This jumper is one of my wardrobe staples, combining comfort with a touch of luxury ~ perfect for those cooler autumn days in the countryside. It looks great tucked into a tweed mini skirt as shown here or jodphur jeans.
The Dubarry Blossom Tweed Skirt features unique brass and leather buckle straps. These are mainly for show but as you can see they can be adjusted. The skirt sits quite low on the hips. I prefer a skirt which is higher up on the waist (because I am petite) but this is a more traditional design. The skirt has gorgeous kilt pleats. There is a tidy zip at the side of the skirt therefore it does not wrap around like an official kilt. This zip feature does not take away from the design. It makes your life easier plus the buckle straps will not look tatty or frayed over time as you won't need to handle them.
The skirt is available in Elm, Navy, Burren, Denim, Woodrose, Rowan, Hemlock, Sorrel, Mist and Heath. (As of 2024. Dubarry add new colours so there may be new colours!) I have created a handy image of all the different colours/tweed together so you can easily find your favourite!

Holland Cooper Jumper Details
This is a lightweight cable knit jumper. It is heavy but not thick or bulky. Be careful drying this item - due to the weight, it can stretch the jumper and make it longer! Try to dry it flat. It's lovely and made from super soft yarn which feels slightly silky (not at all rough). It features HC hardware on the cuffs and shoulders which I LOVE and glams up a basic roll neck sweater outfit.

Dubarry Longford Country Boots
I’ve styled the look with my Dubarry Longford Country Boots, which had been on my wishlist for ages. I treated myself to a pair this year! These boots offer a more feminine silhouette compared to the chunkier Dubarry Galway boots. I like the Longford style as they have a tighter fit, streamlined design with a small heel (but are still 100% practical and waterproof.)

Sizing
Just a heads up: I find that both Dubarry of Ireland clothing and Holland Cooper jumpers tend to run big. If you're in between sizes or in doubt, I recommend sizing down. However, Dubarry footwear runs small, so it's best to size up for boots.
Timeless Country Classics
This outfit is a blend of timeless British country classics with a modern edge ~ perfect for a stroll in the countryside or a cosy day at the pub. Don't forget to play with some country accessories for your perfect country outfit. I've worn my lovely silk twill scarf from Clare Haggas. I won't go anywhere without a bag. I like teaming my Dubarry boots with one of their Dubarry handbags because the leather matches perfectly. The combination of tweed, country leather boots, and a cable knit jumper embodies the essence of British countryside fashion perfectly and is one of my favourite country girl outfits!
