The Ultimate Autumn/Winter Coat from Cordings of Piccadilly

Derby Quilted Field Coat in Green

A change is coming!

Goodbye summer, hello to the season of cosy knits and golden light.

I am truly excited for the change of season... HOORAY! I feel most alive during Autumn.

Those crisp, misty mornings. The sun hangs lower in the sky, casting a soft golden light over the landscape. There’s nothing quite like throwing on a warm, oversized coat and stepping into your trusty wellies. Absolute bliss. I'm here for it!

So, with a change of season fast approaching a new coat from Cordings seems appropriate.

Derby Quilted Field Coat in Green & Penelope Chilvers Inclement Tassel Boot - Seaweed/Conker

The Derby coat from Cordings of Piccadilly is a countryside staple and the perfect addition to your Autumn/Winter wardrobe!
This cosy quilted wool shooting coat is perfect for chilly days outdoors. The extended leather-trimmed cuffs block out the wind and add a touch of elegance.

You can easily remove the pop stud collar to reveal a tall loden wool collar, ideal for those extra blustery days. I prefer the coat with the fur collar as it keeps your neck nice and warm and adds that extra hint of luxury. It also doubles up as a scarf which is great if you forget it in a rush out the door.

The adjustable waist buttons help create a more flattering, elongated shape.

There is a handy hidden internal zip pocket.

I love the dark khaki green paired with the Wincanton waistcoat (also from Cordings). Perfect for in the field or inconspicuous walks in the countryside.

The Cordings Derby Coat is a beautifully crafted, heavyweight piece designed to keep you warm and stylish in the colder months. Made from 100% premium Austrian Loden Wool. Expertly tailored in the Netherlands, this coat blends timeless elegance with practical country wear, ensuring both comfort and sophistication. The coat features a sleek black leather trim, adding a touch of sophistication. Its subtle nod to traditional shooting attire is highlighted by the shoulder patches.

I’ve worn my luxurious wine-coloured velvet trousers (from Cordings) and a satin pussybow blouse for a mixture of textures. One of my favourite combinations is; tweed, silk/satin and velvet. Pure luxury!
I'll wear my coat with jeans and boots for a 'town' look.

The Cordings Derby coat is also available in Navy.

This is your country pursuits coat for this season. It’s practical and the fabric has an aquastop membrane, ensuring it’s fully waterproof.
