Why I love it & My thoughts
It's cosy and warm, gorgeous and quite different to every other hooded coat out there. For a jacket that is so practical it looks and feels luxurious. The best way I can describe it is; when equestrian meets country. The perfect balance between the two. The fur on the hood takes it up a notch in terms of luxury and gives it that extra opulent look.
This jacket has saved me this winter. During these bitterly cold months, it's my best friend. It is delightfully warm, a true pleasure to wear and well designed. The navy and contrasting brown tones compliment each other nicely, I'm a big fan! The brown trims define the coat that little bit more and finishes it off to a T. The understated colours mean you can wear almost any style jodphurs (or trousers/jeans) underneath without there being a major clash.
The big hood is fabulous! I love love love it. Great for those days when it's really horrible and windy outside. The fur (and the hood itself) is removable, so this jacket would also make a great transitional piece for those warmer spring months when a hood isn't necessarily needed. Which I'm ever so glad about and totally ready for those lighter days, arent you? I adore winter, I do think it has its own beauty. I don't know about you though, but these dark mornings are a nightmare. I hate getting out of bed at the moment!
The fact you can tighten it at the waist with the adjustable belt is absolutely fantastic! It defines your waist nicely. No one likes a frumpy coat and this aspect really does beautify the coat and gives it that lovely, sleek feminine appearance. A real winner in my eyes. I'm all for femininity!
The rear of the jacket is different and I think the cross stitch pattern on the backside panel works well with the style of the coat. It is functional too - the gusset allows for more movement, perfect for riding. This pattern also appears at the elbows and hood. I really like the length too, not too short so keeps the warmth in and keeps those drafts at bay.
What do we want? Lots of pockets. Where do we want them... on a coat! There are plenty of really useful pockets and the poppers make sure everything safe and sound whilst you're off gallivanting around the countryside. There's also a pocket on the inside, complete with a zip - perfect for your phone. The hand warmer pockets are great too. The finishing touches are classy too - the Joshua Jones emblem features on all of the pop studs and is also embroidered on the chest.
I can't praise this jacket highly enough. One of my absolute favourites!
Thank you, Joshua Jones, for keeping me warm and toasty this Winter, you're the best <3
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I'd love to know what you think? Do you own anything from Joshua Jones? Drop me a comment with your thoughts.
Between me and you I've had a rough start to the year. I've lost my third cat, another of my precious fur babies gone. Brudge, my dog also had an operation on his leg during the same week so the whole ordeal has been rather stressful and I've felt a bit exhausted. The aftercare with him has been a bit of a nightmare but everything went well and we're back out and about now he can go walking again, I feel sane again! Woohoo. Hoping you are well.
All my love,
Charlotte
