Mr Toad strikes again!
There is certainly a nip in the air and I know I'm not the only one whos happy to be out and about wearing a coat again. It's that funny time of year here in autumnal England where the mornings are dark and fresh but the days are pleasantly warm. So, why not wear a tweed gilet on these autumnal days when the weather can't make its mind up...
I've been on the look out for a well fitted tweed waistcoat for a while now. When I stumbled across the Beverly gilet I just had to get it! It's perfect for this time of year. It looks stylish over a country shirt and can be worn with almost anything.
I've teamed the waistcoat here with my favourite Joules shirt (Charlotte: Fox and Pheasant shirt - read more here) my number one country chic boots; Fairfax and Favor (read more here) and some khaki breeches.

Sizing & Fit
I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I never know what garment size to buy from Joules.
I've gone up a size for this item.
Finer Details
Joules' quirky detailing really does it for me. The cord pocket and collar trims are a mustard yellow colour which accentuates this stylish waistcoat. I adore the toad green colour and love the fact it can be matched with their other toad green tweed clothing items.
The velvet collar underside is similar to that of Sporting Hares (read more here) Beauchamp blazer.

The half belt on the back of the waistcoat is one of my favourite aspects which is also trimmed with buttons.
